Wendy Bill

Wendy Bill was born in Astoria, Oregon and moved to the San Francisco Bay area as a toddler. As a young girl, she always expressed a keen interest in visual art, regardless of the medium. In grade school, she took first place in an art contest entitled, “Alameda is a Good Place to Get Married.” The poster depicted a bride and groom on the stairs of a church. This first place blue ribbon inspired her to develop her career as an artist.
Despite completing her Associate of Art degree at Chabot College in Hayward, California, Wendy considers herself to be primarily self-taught. Her creativity is boundless. Furthermore, her attention to detail has been honed from her training in the dental field. Currently, her medium of choice is acrylic. She would like to incorporate oils and water colors to her canvases in the future.
Wendy’s area of specialization for the past several years has been animals. A true animal lover she, really enjoys capturing a special characteristics of a family pet. In February of 2003, some of her work was donated to help raise money for the Escondido Humane Society. Additionally, she also attended many craft/art shows and had her work displayed at various craft stores in San Diego County.
Painting beautiful scenery parallels a vacation. While I paint, I create my reality – where I want to be -Wendy Bill

Wendy has experimented on different media as well. Her ability to bring river rocks to life with her talent to paint in three dimensions is breathtaking. The life size murals she creates brings depth, color and a whole new perspective to a room. Wendy paints from photographs whether they are hers or from a secondary source. She believes this enables her to draw from field experience while being able to reference the photo at the easel.
Wendy lives with her husband, son and two golden retrievers in Poway, California.
